JiandYin

jiandyin (Jiradej & Pornpilai Meemalai)

Jiandyin are interdisciplinary collaborative artists. Their work focus on how to create space and form to construct relationships between human and human in relation to social context. In 2010, they initiated the Dialogue: Seeing and Being, an interactive performance that invite passersby to participate by drawing front/back portraits in public spaces. In 2012, the project continued with a sub-project entitled “We are Going to Taipei” that operated the art process in Taipei and visited some participants’ homes. The relationship developed by the conceptual art process has conveyed participants, audiences, etc. to perceive an aesthetic experience and come across a transition of social, cultural and personal space, the overlapping condition when living together. They received a fellowship grant from the Asian Cultural Council, N.Y. and were artists in residence at Headlands Center for the Arts and International Studio and Curatorial Program, USA, 2010, Treasure Hill Artist Village, Taipei, 2012, Civitella Ranieri residency, Italy, 2013. They found “NongpoKiDdee”, a non-profit community group in Ratchaburi, Thailand, their home-town, to organize art related activities.

Jiandyin 為泰國跨領域藝術雙人團隊。他們的作品著重於如何創造空間和形態去建構社會上人與人之間的關係。2010年，他們策劃了「看見與存在」互動式表演，他們到不同的公共空間，邀請路人參與他們畫肖像的前後。2012 年，他們繼續該項計畫，並命名為「我們前往台北」，在計劃過程中他們走訪了一些參與者的家。這觀念藝術過程所發展出的關係，引領著觀眾去體驗、感受: 共同生活狀態下，社會、文化、個人空間之間的過渡，兩相重疊並置下的美學經驗。Jiandyin 曾獲得紐約亞洲文化協會獎助金，2010年為美國赫德蘭藝術村（Headlands Center for the Arts）及 International Studio, Curatorial Program（ISCP） 的駐村藝術家， 2012年為台灣台北國際藝術村駐村藝術家，2012年為義大利 Civitella Ranieri 的駐村藝術家。目前JIANDYIN於家鄉泰國 Ratchaburi 的非營利組織「 NongpoKiDdee」，延續著此項計劃。
